Interwood Shuttle press
The Interwood shuttle press is an upstroke machine pressing platen, which operates from bottom to top.
It was originally designed for the coffin manufacturing industry, and is now also used for veneering chip board and MDF panels, using heat to cure the adhesive.

- The machine is fitted with two siding frames with Mylar film inserts that runs on carrier bars. These tables are manually operated but free running and fitted with control switches that will operate the closing cycle of the press.
- Automation pressure timer will count down pressing time and open the press automatically when the time is complete.
- The Mylar film will be hung over the surface of the top platen with spring adjusters to maintain a constant tension.
- The machines working cycles are operated thorough a PLC.
- Single temperature controller running both platens ensures accurate and uniformity of the platen temperatures.
